Four Bavarian Chalets to suit your vacation needs.
Located at 10,200 feet at the foot of Kachina Peak and the base of Taos Ski Valley's lift #4, the Bavarian Chalets are designed for complete high-alpine comfort with ski-in/ski-out access as well as the amenities of the adjacent Bavarian Lodge & Restaurant. Mudrooms anticipate families with children, long hikes into the wilderness, and ski storage. Galvanized steel panels and baseboards are a feature throughout and a refined rusticity permeates the whole. Supremely functional, each luxury chalet includes three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a powder room, a fireplace, wireless internet, satellite TV, and a fully equipped kitchen.
These Interior Design Magazine "Best of the Year Finalist" luxury chalets incorporate locally sourced materials, such as dead-standing timbers and locally inspired themes. The "feature wall" in the living room, timber framing and stainless steel firebox cladding all recall the valley's mining tradition. Artwork is comprised of old Taos ski advertisements, black and white wilderness photography and the like. Organic textures, forms and materials complete what is a deeply generous, multi-faceted design that redefines contemporary mountain hospitality. The Bavarian Lodge was named among the Best Romantic Getaways in 2010 by Travel & Leisure Magazine.
Secluded but sociable, opulent yet casual, The Bavarian Chalets are a magical retreat that brings you a taste of the Bavarian Alps in the American Southwest.
Each Chalet has a king bed in the master bedroom (on the third floor) and a king bed in the second bedroom on the second floor. The third bedroom has a pair of twins.
